30 August 2011, by Cars2coolHey US Lego Fans. There has been much talk about starting truck trials in our states. Unfortunately, since most of us are so isolated from each other, the only logical action to make is host our own individual races and gather more participants from our states. As shown on this website, there are only a handful of Lego builders. However, I know for a fact that this is not true. It’s just that they haven’t heard of this site. What we can do is post ads on sites like Craig’s List, on our (...)

29 August 2011, by Nico71The first Unimog I designed was in the 2008 and had good climbing abilities for his technology (no frame, no portal live axle and no panels). Today, my new unimog is far better and many things were improved.
Portal live axles : high ground clearance with strong and reliable axles Reinforced hubs : thanks to a new design of hub, enables the truck to not have too camber angle in downhill 94mm wheel : more ground clearance than the 81mm one Double wishbone chassis : build around the battery (...) -
Jeep
16 August 2011, by 88highHere is my take on Nico71’s Jeep Wrangler 4x4. what I decided to do was make it into a Pickup, or commonly called a"Brute" in the 4-wheeling world. This project was mainly inspired by Four Wheeler Magagzine’s Project truck, Teal brute. They started off with a ugly, teal Jeep Wrangler TJ and turned it into a beautiful backcountry vehicle: A Jeep Wrangler? nope. A Jeep "Brute" pickup.
HERE ARE THE FEATURES:
1.) Strong 5-link portal axles, without a differential.
2.) Modified steering system (...) -
Planetary hub reductions
4 August 2011, by KarfoWhen i saw Zblj’s planetary hub reductions on his TATRA i decided to make my own.
holding the grey part of turntable stationary, planet carrier as output directly connected to wheel and "sun" 8 tooth gear as input gearing ratio can be calculated from 1/(1+Na/Ns)= 1/(1+24/8)=1/4=0.25
so one rotation of the input rotates 1/4 on the output
[Na=24 (number of teeth in the stationary - grey part of turntable), Ns=8 (number of teeth of input "sun" gear)]
My design uses only 2 8 tooth gear in the (...) -
