As my first trial truck, it was quite difficult to make the vehicle both good looking and powerful. It features drive, steering, fake engine (under hood) and shock absorbed pendular axles. The rear axle’s spring mount is based on Nico71’s "Unimog V2." The rest of the chassis was built over several weeks and put through numerous tests.
As for the off road abilities, they were good on dry terrains. Due to the the high articulation of the axles, it was always able to stay in contact with the ground.
The output gear ratio (1: 6.5) is sufficient for climbing slopes of up to 46 degrees. However, I wish I had used bigger wheels as the ground clearance was limited and caused the truck to get stuck when driving over rocky areas.
I was quite impressed by this truck’s overall performance especially on uneven slopes. While building this truck, I learnt a lot of new techniques and am open for more. I would really appreciate it if you could take a chance to constructively criticize me.
