The first evolution of my Unimog U-5000. I preserved the good things and changed the bad.
First of all, I designed a new stronger axle based on zblj work with portal axle. After this, I designed a new lighter frame, and a new cab with new panels. I keep in mind an important concept : the modular design. This is why the cab is fixed with only 4 pins and can easily be removed.
For the performances, it’s better than my old unimog, due to the reducing of weight and portal axles. The new axles have more ground clearance than normal axles and I could reduce the weight from 1,1kg to 940g thanks to the new panels.
I also create instruction that you can watch here : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=410137
