This is my second Truck Trial. I sticked with articulated chassis as it is reliable and quite easy to build. Still, this truck is not perfect at all. I originally wanted to build a Moxy MT41 (6x6) but the rear axles tend to go away from the chassis as your turn (tyres have a good grip), therefoer i went on a 4x4.

Motorization: During its conception phase, i tried numerous combinations. I first tried to stick with the original rules, without good result. RC motors were hard to implement. Finally, i succedded to implement a PFS -XL in the truck. The motor is positionned under the fake motor and its weight helps improve the front axle’s grip. Total reduction : 1:6 (verify). The problem is that the rear axle is quite far away and traction is not efective.

Steering: The steering is done thanks to a rack and pignons system. Effective, reliable, doesn’t suffer too much, I like it.

Additional stuff: The battery is taken on board via the RC module. It is quite heavy but it’s the only system I have at this day (no IR). And it is BIG, and on this particular truck (articulate chassis) it had to be put at the rear of the truck. The result is that when climbing a hill, front wheels tend to loose grip and rear gears brake themselves. Fake motor (V6) and steering wheel are functionnal.
